October 2017:

The Southwest St. Louis County Fair Association held their Annual Meeting on October 24; 13 community members were present.

Election of Officers was held, with the following result: President – Roger Hill, Vice President – Rhonda Lundstrom, Secretary – Susan Coccie, and Treasurer – Cheryl Bailey. The following Managers were
> named: Parade – Carrie Johnson, Food Booth – Lorie Werner, Children’s Games – Melinda Felknor, Fair Queen – Amanda Fjeld, Entry Booth – Ann Lundstrom, Grounds – Pat Seredinski, and Photography – Carol Scharnberg.

The fair association will have the inside Christmas tree set up in the building before the Floodwood Shopping Night.

It was determined that the fair association will increase the premium amounts that are awarded at the fair. This is necessary to increase the quality and quantity of exhibits. The increased amounts will appear in the 2018 Premium Book.

The fair association will hold it’s annual Pot Luck and Raffle on Sunday, February 18.

The next meeting of the fair association will be held on January 31, 6:00 pm, at the Downtown Fair Center. This public is encourage to participate in this and all fair association meetings
