The Southwest St. Louis County Fair, held in Floodwood, has  announced their Show Case classes for the 2017 fair. They are as  follows:
> Creative Arts: Waterscape or Waterfront Color Photo
> Domestic Arts: Holiday Decoration, Sewed
> Horticultural Arts: Russet Potatoes

Bea Ojakangas will be the Grand Marshall for the parade, while the winner of the Junior High Point Award will be the Junior Grand Marshall. A $50. award will again be presented to the junior exhibitor who earns the most combined total of points in all three divisions.

The Savannah Portage Rendezvous and Encampment will again be part  of the 2017 fair. Entry Day for the fair is Thursday, August 24,  with judging on Friday, August 25. More details for the fair will  be published as they become finalized.
